Neurosseum

Colosseum at the era of algorithms.

The most renowned and impressive icon of Rome in the World is now revised according to parametric design principles and Industry 4.0 techniques.

The entire structure, 3D scanned and both algorithmically and manually reshaped, is no longer just an elliptical series of walls, arches and vaults, but a complex conceptual lattice where nodes and connections form a large, stylised neural network.

A bridge between past and future: the Flavian Amphitheatre, as a symbol of the ancient Imperial period, given to a modern city, eager for digitalisation and human-machine interaction and yet seamlessly in touch with its history.

A big collective brain, as well as the heartbeat of Rome itself.
