According to WHO, health situation in Europe may change after Omicron, with pandemic turning into endemic.
Surely that’s not the solution we were aiming at. But it’s still a compromise between people’s life, threatened for so long, and an unrestrainable virus by now.
That’s what this sculpture wants to highlight, this new forced balance between the masses and coronavirus.
Yin-yang is used here as a symbolic representation of the aformentioned equilibrium, meaning that the way to success may be through accepting the coexistence (thanks to Medicine) rather than the unlikely final extermination of the virus itself.
Perhaps, this is the best compromise we could hope for.
